Google Latitude推出了兩個新的延伸應用：
1. Google Public Location Badge：產生外掛程式碼，可放在部落格等處，好用來公開顯示即時個人位置。
2. Google Talk Location Status：在GTalk即時通狀態欄即時顯示你的目前位置。

一、用手機或iGoogle在Google Latitude設定所在位置
手機：
1. 安裝或連上最新版的Google地圖頁面（http://google.com/latitude）
2. 藉由手機訊號自動偵測到當前位置
電腦：
1. 在iGoogle 安裝 Google Latitude 工具。
2. 以手動發佈，更新自己的所在之處，並看到其他朋友的位置。
二、在部落格安裝Google Latitude的位置公開顯示小地圖
1. 在成功啟用Google Latitude的功能之後，就可以使用兩個延伸應用，即在部落格和GTalk即時通公開自己的所在位置
2. 來到「Google Latitude延伸工具」，目前有兩個工具，若是點選：
「Google Public Location Badge」，則可設定部落格外掛。
「Google Talk Location Status」，則可啟用GTalk位置狀態顯示。
在「Google Public Location Badge」的「Settings」有三個選項：
Disable Google Public Location Badge：關閉公開顯示。
Enable and show city-level only：啟用，且公開顯示到「城市」等級。
Enable and show best available location：啟用，且公開顯示到可到達的地點。
選擇其中一個，接著在下方的下拉選單選擇一個【提示方式】，最後按下〔Share my location with everyone〕。
設定完畢之後，就可看到「Embed the Google Public Location Badge」，設定想要的呈現樣式：
Width：寬度
Height：高度
Map Type：地圖地貌
Zoom Level：地圖縮放等級
最後把程式碼複製，安裝到部落格或網站。
